You did it!!!!! The crucial step is over.

However, the post-event is THE main part of your event. You get to build off the buzz of your event and can really nurture your guests down the funnel.

All through your follow-ups, you will begin to see the most engaged, and see who you ought to prioritize your time for that next step — regardless of whether it is to have a meeting or invite them to a future event.

The key is to keep in contact with the attendees through these guest-focused tactics.

Don’t wait to PLAN your post-event strategy for the last possible second. Start planning it from the beginning so after your event, you can bounce directly into executing your strategy.

Here are a few strategies that we are confident will let you evaluate your event engagements.

1. A simple Thank you!

Your guests made time off their busy schedules to attend your event, be thankful. Send a simple follow-up email just after the event and you will be surprised how far this small gesture goes.

2. We missed you! To those who couldn’t make-it.

Try not to limit your follow-ups to the attendees only. Connect with individuals who planned to be there, however did not end up making it, let them know you missed them. You could also share a few things shared at the event but here’s a tip, don’t share everything, this will create a sense of curiosity for your next event. So capture the best parts when sharing.

3. Quick post-event survey!

Send a post-event survey to your guests and request feedback on the event. what worked, what did not, what their favorite moment was. Use these insights to make your next one better.

Hint: Short questions that require short answers will get you more responses!

4. Follow-up — Personally

If your event’s objective was to drive deals or client commitment, get your Sales or Marketing teams to connect personally with attendees to follow up. Talking the good and bad about the event can be your conversation starter.

5. Keep it updated

Make sure your guest database is up to date. Invite them for your next event and make them feel at home.

For an instance, send them right through registration without having to collect their details all over again, create a sense of familiarity.

Post-event evaluation is a MUST. Spend time on it, we can assure you it’s worth it.
